BBC Radio Solent: All things Healing Haven

Hello everyone! Lillie here from Healing Haven. It has been a busy few weeks since we opened our doors here in the heart of Parkstone and I have been running around doing all sorts! To name a few, heavy lifting hundreds of kilograms of pebbles for our “soon to open” Garden Studio, pretending not to be absolutely knackered in our branding photoshoots (think I pulled it off well in the above, don’t you?), running to and from networking events and a very exciting appearance on BBC Radio Solent!

The last few months have been a labour of love and I am so excited to see what’s to come of our lovely new yoga home.

This would be a perfect opportunity for me to give thanks and to talk about Sangha. So first off, I want to say a big thank you for making us feel so at home, for being a part of our first few weeks.

Sangha is at the centre of all I do, in Sanskrit, this word translates simply into community, but I like to see Sangha also as a deep spiritual practice of your purpose, your ‘dharma’.

The essence of a sangha is awareness, understanding, acceptance, harmony and love, all that I wish for in our new yoga home, Healing Haven. When you find these elements are present in a community, you know that you have the happiness and fortune of being in a real sangha.

We are centred around community and inclusivity, but our priority is also to provide you with a purposeful practice that enhances your awareness, understanding, acceptance, harmony and love within your mind, body and soul as well as within your community. A time for you to connect, interact and gather in this heavenly space. A space to experience togetherness when we practice yoga, even if you come alone!

Maybe you’ve walked by, heard about us on BBC Radio Solent, seen our recycled leaflets through your door…

Maybe you’re on a path to do what helps your soul shine, exploring new ways of movement, desire to move your body with more compassion and gratitude

However you have found us and whatever brought you here today, we are here and ready to welcome you into our classes with warm big smiles!
